Vipul Jewellery Art is a family jewellery house at Sawkarpura Sarafa Line , Anjangaon Surji. We run this website, vipuljewellery.art, and we decide how the information collected on it is used — in the words of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the data fiduciary.

02What we collect

From every visit

Whether or not you accept cookies, we count each page opened: which page, the kind of device (mobile, tablet or computer), the browser and system, the country, and the website or campaign link that brought you. We also note what that one page view came to: how long the page was in front of you, how far down you scrolled, which parts of the page and which pieces came into view, what you tapped (a filter, an arrow, a menu link), and how quickly the page loaded. These are tied together only by a random number that lives in the page and is gone when you leave it. We keep no cookie and nothing that tells you apart from anyone else for this count, and we don't keep your IP address.

Only if you accept analytics cookies

• A random number in a cookie that recognises your browser on a later visit, and another that groups the pages of one visit.
• Your screen and window size, screen sharpness, whether your device is set to dark mode, the kind of connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data, where your browser says), your browser's and system's versions, your browser's language and time zone, and your approximate city and region (as worked out by our network provider from your connection — never your exact location).
• How your visit goes: the page you start and end on, and the time across its pages.
• What you do on the site: opening a piece, tapping Enquire, WhatsApp, Call or Directions, or sending the enquiry form.

Your cookie answer

We record what you chose, when, and the version of this policy you answered, with a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your IP address that cannot be turned back into the address. This is how we can show that we asked.

What you send us

The enquiry form and the Enquire buttons open WhatsApp with your message ready to send; your name, number and message go to us through WhatsApp only when you send them, and are not stored by this website. WhatsApp's own privacy policy covers that conversation.

03Cookies

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep. This site sets only its own cookies — first-party — and only these:

Essential cookies are needed for the site to remember your choice or keep staff signed in, so they are set without asking. Analytics cookies are set only after you press Accept analytics, and are deleted when you choose Only essential. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser's settings.

04Why we use it

• To understand which pages, collections and pieces visitors find useful, so we can show more of what people come for.
• To find what to improve: parts of the page few people reach, pieces seen but rarely asked about, an enquiry form started but not sent, a page slow on some phones.
• To see which links and campaigns bring visitors, and whether the website works well on phones and computers.
• To keep the website secure and running, and to stop abuse.

Analytics rely on your consent, which you give by accepting and can withdraw just as easily. The basic visit count and the security of the site are legitimate uses needed to run it.

05Who else sees it

We don't sell, rent or trade your information. It is seen only by the shop's own team and handled for us by the services that run the website:

• Cloudflare delivers and protects the website, and tells us the country, region and city a visit comes from.
• Google Cloud hosts our server and the information it keeps.
• Google Fonts sends the typefaces you see, which means your browser contacts Google for them.
• WhatsApp carries your message when you choose to send one.

We will share information with authorities only where the law requires it.

06How long we keep it

• Visit and analytics records: 13 months, then deleted automatically.
• Records of cookie answers: 3 years, to show that consent was asked for and given.

07Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

• withdraw your consent at any time — as easy as giving it (see below);
• ask what information we hold about you and how it is used;
• ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it;
• raise a grievance with us, and if it isn't resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India;
• nominate someone to act for you in case of death or incapacity.

Because analytics on this site use a random number rather than your name, we may need that number — it is in your browser's vja_vid cookie — to find what belongs to you.
